Biden campaign cashes in on Mike Pence’s debate night fly

That fly sure generated a lot of buzz.

Joe Biden’s campaign wasted no time capitalizing on the house fly that went viral during Wednesday night’s vice presidential debate when it found a home on Vice President Mike Pence’s head for just over two minutes.

The Biden camp tweeted a photo of the former veep with a fly swatter and a fundraising appeal, writing: “Pitch in $5 to help this campaign fly!”

Biden’s campaign also registered the domain “flywillvote.com” which redirected to Democratic National Committee’s voter participation website, “IWillVote.com.”

One user replied with a cartoon of a gnat carrying a Biden-Harris sign.

The insect became an unlikely star during the 90-minute showdown in Salt Lake City after it stuck the landing on Pence’s white mane for 2 minutes and 9 seconds.

Pence didn’t seem to notice the bug during his lone debate Democratic opponent Sen. Kamala Harris, but Twitter did, suggesting that the six-legged pest was the same fly that landed on Hillary Clinton’s forehead during her 2016 debate show-down with Donald Trump.
